PASTOR’S PEN – SEPTEMBER 1, 2008

I hope that each of you had a wonderful Labor Day week end and are now rested and ready to go to work.   Those of you who were away this past week end were greatly missed here at Piedmont Park.  I hope that you will all soon be back with us so that we can fellowship and worship together.

I was just thinking today that it is hard to believe that on September 9th, I will begin my eighth year of ministry here at Piedmont Park.  Time has flown by and we have seen so many things happen that it is almost beyond comprehension.  I thank God daily for each of you and for all the good work that God has done in and through you and will continue to do as you surrender to His Holy Will.

Thank you for your understanding and your prayers for me and my family.   I am looking forward to my eye surgery that is upcoming so that I will be able to get my new glasses and hopefully be able to see well again.  I never thought that I would say that I was glad to face any surgical procedure but due to God’s blessings and the good work of my doctors I am looking forward to my upcoming eye surgery.

God bless each of you and use you for His Glory.  Give Him praise for every opportunity to worship, pray, minister and witness.

In Christ’s love,

Pastor Atkins
